What can Hydropulsor's HVCU systems do for you?
Remaining competitive in a global manufacturing environment requires an objective and strategic appraisal of every process in your production chain.
Knowing the complete costs of a process (material loss, labor, storage, scrap, and environmental concerns) is the first step in reclaiming your competitive advantage. Hydropulsor's high velocity impact cutting systems can help you reduce your burden costs and increase your profits.
Improving the quality of your base components.
If you manufacture a product that begins with a blank or billet that has been cut from wire or bar, there is a high probability that your process includes a second or third operation just to clean up the cut ends. Consider what it would mean to your efficiency, to your bottom line, if you could start with a blank or billet that meets your quality needs and eliminates those second and third cleanup operations.
Consider what it would mean to your process if you could begin production of your prime product with blanks and billets:
- Free of burrs (as are typically found with saw cuts)
- Cut to extremely tight length or volume tolerances
- Free of the cracked or damaged end often found with shear cuts
- Have minimal work hardening.
- Cut to a high degree of perpendicularity (square ends)
Reducing your scrap costs
If your metal costs are going up, so are your scrap costs.
Unlike saws (band or blade) and screw machines, Hydropulsor's HVCU systems do not produce chips (kerf) with every cut. That means there is no material lost with every cut, and no chips to sling dry and haul away. You not only reduce your scrap costs with every cut, but you eliminate the cost of managing that scrap.
Because HVCU systems do not damage the ends of every blank or billet, as occurs with may large diameter shears, there is no loss of material needed to remove the damaged ends. This damage can be extreme. Companies have been know to add as much as 25 mm to each end of a 150 mm blank in order to eliminate the damaged ends.
The environment - inside and out
Consider the Hydropulsor Advantage against your current process. Not only do our HVCU systems produce no fumes but they use no coolants and produce no chips. Of course that means reduced burden costs to your company, but it also means a cleaner and safer work environment - for your employees and your neighbors.
So exactly what are the possible benefits to your company?
The Hydropulsor Advantage is an innovative method of cutting wire or bar in round or profile stock from most metals, and offers:
- High quality end cuts
- Incredible tooling life
- Extreme production rates
- Exceptional length/volume tolerances
- Reduced scrap and waste (no chips)
- Elimination of use, storage and disposal of coolants
- No fumes
